Hello and welcome. Today we're going to become detectives, because together we're going to crack one of the most interesting cases in German grammar. So get your detective hats ready, we're diving right in.
Every good detective story naturally needs a central case. And our case today is the case of possession. It's about the very simple, but super important question: Who owns what? Just imagine it visually.
You are the investigator, arriving at a crime scene, and everything is full of traces, clues, and evidence.
And before you can even ask, "Who did it?", you need to clarify a much more fundamental question: To whom do all these things lying around here belong?
Okay, but before we really dive into the investigation, we first need to take a close look at the scene and learn the appropriate vocabulary, because you know, every good detective has to speak the language of crime.
