📏 CEFR Level Analyzer
Paste any German, English, or French text to estimate its CEFR difficulty level (A1–C2).
How to Use the CEFR Level Analyzer
The CEFR Level Analyzer estimates the difficulty level of any German, English, or French text using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Paste your text and get an instant A1 through C2 rating based on vocabulary complexity.
What Is CEFR?
The CEFR is the international standard for describing language ability. It defines six levels: A1 (beginner), A2 (elementary), B1 (intermediate), B2 (upper intermediate), C1 (advanced), and C2 (proficiency). Knowing the CEFR level of your study materials helps you choose content that matches your current ability.
Vocabulary Breakdown
The analyzer does not just give you one number. It breaks down the text word by word, showing how many words fall into each CEFR level. Advanced words (B2 and above) are highlighted so you can identify vocabulary worth studying. This detailed breakdown helps teachers prepare materials and learners evaluate whether a text is too easy or too hard.
Analyze Podcast Transcripts
Use the Episode Picker to load a podcast transcript and see its CEFR profile instantly. Compare episodes to find content at your level. Our German podcast episodes typically range from A1 to A2, English episodes span A1 to B1, and French episodes are crafted at A1 level — making them ideal for beginner and intermediate learners.
