The human brain is an absolutely fascinating machine, isn't it? Capable of solving ultra-complex mathematical equations, analyzing abstract concepts, or I don't know, designing skyscrapers.
Absolutely, it's the ultimate supercomputer. Exactly. But, and that's what's funny, you just have to take this same brain, place it in the middle of a foreign street with, say, a simple desire to buy a piece of bread, for it to literally collapse in a few
seconds. Oh yes, total system crash. That's it. The surrounding sounds become an indiscernible din. The illuminated signs look like hieroglyphs, and the urban space transforms into a hostile labyrinth.
It's a very precise clinical phenomenon called cognitive overload. It's a terrifying paralysis, in fact, and it's deeply rooted in our biology, really to that extent. Oh yes, the human mind tolerates spatial ambiguity extremely poorly, especially when it is
combined with a total inability to communicate. You know, like when you don't know where you are on a map, nor how to articulate a request to find your way. That's exactly it. Anxiety skyrockets.
