Imagine, uh, you're in a foreign country. You're desperately trying to learn a new language and you're, well, just extremely nervous about making a mistake.
Yes, I think everyone recognizes that feeling. Exactly. You're sitting in a little classroom, your heart rate is a bit too high, and the teacher shows a photo of his family.
Right? Your brain glitches for a moment. You look at that furry dog. You look at the serious teacher. Would you ever forget the word for brother in that new language after that?
Well, probably never again. No, I don't think so either. That friction of that moment, uh, the complete absurdity of it is actually a kind of highway straight to your long-term memory.
